PORTLAND, Ore., June 26 — Portland Democratic Socialists of America rallied a rowdy crowd to picket the Metro Chamber’s annual meeting, where bigwigs and their bosom buddies at Chevron, Northwest Natural and other Earth-killing enterprises pulled up in cybertrucks to listen to Texan billionare and Trail Blazers owner Tom “El Cheapo” Dundon say—well, nothing much at all, really.

…Or so we heard. Tickets were $350 a pop!

City council socialists delivered speeches to a hungry flock of press and then promptly left for the first public work session addressing the billion dollar Moda Center renovation deal.

Revolution Radio kept up the energy past PDSA’s presence with radical music. One rally-goer even showed up with bagpipes, playing cop funeral songs in the face of city police maintaining a checkpoint at a second exit/entrance.
